Neenah's Lotion

Neenah’s Lotion was initially created to help my daughter with her eczema. She was born with it, although it didn’t show up until about four months later. No allergy testing could be done until she was about 14-16 months. The medications suggested by the dermatologist would only work for a few weeks and then would end up “burning her,” which meant it would irritate her skin due to the cracked and torn skin she caused by non-stop scratching. I decided to research which natural medicinal oils I could apply to her that would allow for, even if it was temporary. It was clear I couldn’t use anything with chemicals in it, as I had tested multiple over-the and prescription lotions and medicines.

 

It took me months to gather the best natural oils to try on sensitive skin with the intention of healing, not just “making the skin soft.” Through trial and error, I developed a mixture of shea butter and multiple natural oils to help not only heal the skin but also promote the growth of new skin cells faster than normal. Given her constant scratching, the lotion she needed had to be *really* effective! My goal with the lotion was to help my daughter, and over the years, I feel that as a mom I’ve done (and continue to do) something great for her. Neenah’s Lotion doesn’t burn her, it doesn’t cause her discomfort, and she doesn’t cry when it’s applied. What it does is soothe her skin, calm it down, provide a thick layer of shea butter with medicinal natural oils, and remain on her skin longer, which in turn helps grow new skin cells to restore her beautiful brown skin tone!

It is very thick, and when rubbed in the palms of your hands, it melts before being applied to the affected skin area. It has an earthy smell due to the natural ingredients used. Again, no chemicals mean no perfumes or dyes. With anything that is *all natural*, it’s best to allow it some time to penetrate your skin. This lotion should not be compared to medicine with expectations of it working overnight or even within a week. Everything that is all-natural takes time, so I ask you to be patient with it, just as I’ve been patient with my daughter, who inspired me to create this for her.
